January, 2019

Call to Order:  The January 10, 2019 meeting of the North Fork Watershed Association was called to order at 7:00 PM by President Ruth Rowan.  There were 7 members present.
Minutes:  The minutes of the November 2018 meeting were presented by Secretary Crytzer.  The minutes were approved as presented.
Treasurer's Report:  The Treasurer's Report presented by Treasurer Steve Rowan.  The Treasurer's Report was approved by motion.
Correspondence:  None.
Advisor's Report:  Richardsville Bridge Review - Comments have been provided by DEP.  The proposed New Business Park is with the DEP.  There is a deficiency letter from DEP.  Changes are needed before approval.  Strip mining is again planned for the Industrial park.  Strishock will mine 10% of the original proposal that had not been mined.  Shaun and Dana had a meeting with Matson Lumber about erosion control.  The meeting went well.  There is a meeting for watersheds at State College on February 24th and 25th.  No NFWA members present expressed an interest in attending.  Cresco Yeltrah Marijuana Plant in the Industrial Park is planning on expanding.  Daniel Rhea works for Penn State Extension and could help with education.  Waterways Conservation Office Chad McKendrick will now be over both Clearfield and Jefferson Counties.  
Memberships:  The membership letters for 2019 have been mailed.  
Limestone:  Wayne is checking out what is available in 2019.
Water Sampling:  Results have been posted on our website.  
Fly Tying:  There will be Fly Tying Classes on February 16 and February 23rd.  If interested contact Ron Battaglia.  
NFWA Meetings:  The next meeting will be February 14, 2019.
