November, 2013

The November 14, 2013 meeting of NFWA had 7 members and 2 visitors present.

Shaun stated that the Egypt Bridge will be replaced in the future.  Polk Twp has completed their Limestone Project on Fire Tower Road.

Shaun, Steve and Don attended the BMA meeting to state our case for putting $1,000 for limestone in their 2014 budget.  The meeting went well.  They suggested we should have an article about the successes of the restoration of the water quality of North Fork Creek placed in the newspaper.

Fraternal Order of Eagles #965 donated a $500 toward limestone.  NFWA will send a letter of appreciation to them.

Jess Polohonki and his dad Al Polohonki attended our meeting to discuss a possible Eagle Scout Project for Jess.  The project discussed was for topping the splash dam at Jones Bridge with limestone.  The limestone that had been there has washed away by the high waters.  This sounds like a very helpful project and we will likely sign on for this project at a future meeting.
