June, 2014

 
The June 12, 2014 meeting had 7 members present.
 
A discussion was held concerning the actual number of deep wells within the watershed.  Gordon Snyder, JCCD, will research and report.
 
Memberships continue to be received.
 
Ruth Rowan is going to discuss the website with a contact of hers.
 
An open discussion was held concerning streambank erosion near municipal roads and increased transportation spending.  Gordon Snyder, JCCD, noted that he will look into areas of concern.
 
A short presentation was held concerning the latest scout project.  It was decided that no Eagle Scout projects will be hosted until September at the earliest.
 
The need, benefit and scheduling of a Stream Study was discussed.  The next study was scheduled for Saturday, July 12, 2014.  Volunteers will meet at 9:00 AM.  The study will begin at Jones and then move to Blowtown.  The Jefferson Conservation District will provide the equipment.
 
The watershed camp was tabled until 2015.
 
The summer picnic was discussed.  General concensus was to have a picnic and we will discuss it at the next meeting.
